I'm sure any who might have had a mind to would have been gently discouraged, but the city's people value freedom... even that of visiting foreign heroes.
[He's still teasing. And he does mean gently. The Knights could handle that much at least and were no doubt keeping a careful eye on things.]
And that's partly my own influence, but the grapes themselves have a natural sweetness unrivalled anywhere else in Teyvat. Father would joke that Barbatos looked kindly on the vineyard, and that so many anemo crystalflies between the vines made the fruit sweeter.
I'm glad you were able to see Mondstadt. Did it live up to your expectations?
[He's still very embarrassed, but he's happy to answer his boyfriend's questions about what he thinks of his homeland.]
Yes, it's just as beautiful as you described. I had the pleasure of seeing your estate as we passed by the archways out of Liyue, though I admit we did not stay in the city long. Not long after our arrival, Venti sang us a tale of some mysterious islands, in which my companions and I made haste to continue our adventure there...

[Archons, is there nowhere on the planet that those people haven't touched? But this isn't the time to delve into Diluc's personal problems with the Snezhnayan military organisation.]
That's a powerful effect. I didn't realise they had that kind of technology.
They don't exactly. The device was terribly broken. They had planned to abandon it but it drove the researcher's companions delirious.
